The poems of the Soldier Poets of the Great War (1914-18) have inspired new responses by a group of modern-day writers and poets. Brought together here in the England Remembered Project they are set against a back drop of the English Landscape. Images symbolising the nations collective memory unite geographical imagination with words that guide us through a myriad of emotions.
With further details on the project, biographies of the soldier poets and contemporary writers, access to the still photography, animation film and progress on the England Remembered (Charity) e-book.

The England Remembered Blog provides the opportunity to delve into the extended research for the soldier poets’ biographies and introduce you to our modern day writers and poets. This is very much a collaborative project and we will be including posts by our contributors as well as interviews and excerpts of their work.
